4 stunning facilities to host your event
When we bought Leigh House, Bradford on Avon in 2010 it was run primarily as Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
As you would expect from a self catering property, the kitchen is large and very well appointed with all necessary tools including a food processor, blenders and a juicing machine.
We have furnished both properties with antiques, original oil paintings and objects of interest to catch the eye. We hope this is self catering – but with a difference.

The Bake House
Sleeps 4
This quaint stone cottage has 14th Century origins and has thick stone walls and flagged floors. The stone floor still has the axe marks where wood was chopped to feed the fires.

The Barn
Sleeps 10
The Tithe Barn has recently been converted to a very high standard and offers luxurious accommodation in 5 large, en-suite rooms. It is accessed from a lavender scented courtyard straight into a beautifully vaulted main living area with under floor heating and a mezzanine levels.

Gym & Sauna
For guests
The 1000 sqft Old Dairy with 6 milking stalls has been converted into a state of the art gym and sauna overlooking the paddock. You are welcome to use the equipment and sauna at the weekends and evenings and at various times during the day. Tone up while you relax on holiday.
A fabulous boutique holiday rental property.
The Leigh House Farm and estate was rumoured to have been given to Robert Dudley, a favourite of Queen Elizabeth I, in roughly 1572. It consisted of a great deal of land, farms, stables and kitchen gardens. We still have nearly 5 acres of that land and present day Leigh House is compromised of the original Tudor farmhouse, the converted tithe barn and cheese maker/bread makers cottage set around the original farmyard. The Willows is the converted duck house.
As a family we moved to Bradford on Avon in the Autumn of 2010 in order to revitalise Leigh House and create what is now a fabulous boutique holiday rental property. We can accommodate people across individual, unique properties on-site offering exclusivity of the grounds and facilities.
In taking on this Tudor farmhouse we have restored the fundamentals of drains and guttering and then moved onto the more exciting projects such as converting the Old Dairy, which was previously home to 3 donkeys. We started from scratch, removing animal pens and the side wall of the Dairy and jack hammering up the concrete floor. There is now a beautifully sunny gym kitted out to the highest standards. The sauna is a treat at the end of workout or after a long walk in the winter.
Design your perfect wedding.
If you are looking for a venue that will let you design your perfect Wedding Reception but offers a quiet helping hand in the background then Leigh house should appeal to you.
We offer you the opportunity to design your own unique wedding from scratch. You are completely free to select your own suppliers and make your special day last a weekend with those closest to you.
The extensive grounds offers many photo opportunities across the woodland, water features and formal gardens which will be a delightful and relaxing place to hold your reception for friends and family.
