Family Get-Togethers
Everyone together in one place.
Often families live in different parts of the UK or even different parts of the world and Leigh House offers the opportunity to bring everyone together in one place.
The beauty of the accommodation being split between the Barn and the Bake House is that it allows everyone to have their own space. Different generations can join together but each has somewhere to retire to when they want to relax.
The Bake House works particularly well for older members of the family. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and is just a short walk to the kitchen and bathroom. There are no steps either into the cottage or out into the walled garden.
For younger members of the family there is an acre and a half of outdoor space for running around, games of cricket and football.
For everyone else there are chairs and tables outside to enjoy the views and BBQ. There is a gym for workout sessions and a sauna to relax in afterwards.

4 stunning facilities to host your family.
When we bought Leigh House, Bradford on Avon in 2010 it was run primarily as Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
As you would expect from a self-catering property, the kitchen is large and very well appointed with all necessary tools including a food processor, blenders and a juicing machine.
We have furnished both properties with antiques, original oil paintings and objects of interest to catch the eye. We hope this is self-catering – but with a difference.

The Bake House

For guests
The 1000 sqft Old Dairy with 6 milking stalls has been converted into a state of the art gym and sauna overlooking the paddock. You are welcome to use these facilities at any time during your visit. Tone up while you relax on holiday.
Something to do for every member of the family.
There are several very good pubs within walking distance and Sunday Lunch out is a must. All the meat is sourced from local farms and the quality is excellent. Bookings are essential and the Owner would be delighted to share their favourites and offer suggestions on the best places to dine locally.
National Trust properties are plenty, both in the immediate neighbourhood and slightly further afield. The Courts, Chalfield Manor, Westwood Manor and Lacock Abbey are within a few minutes drive. Dyrham Park, Tyntesfield, Stourhead and Montecute House are a little further away.

Leigh House is set in 4.5 acres of rural land.
There are two lawned areas of just over an acre each choose from to site the marquee with views across to the White Horse at Westbury. Both fields are surrounded by woodland and are totally secluded. There is plenty of space for parking.
Nearer the house is an orchard and a large pond with mature willow trees. There is also a beautiful walled Victorian garden with lavender pathways and a rose arbour. The photographic choices are endless.
