Wedding Venue
Host Your Perfect Day.
We offer you the opportunity to design your own unique wedding from scratch.
You are completely free to select your own suppliers and make your special day last a weekend with those closest to you.
The extensive grounds offers many photo opportunities across the woodland, water features and formal gardens which will be a delightful and relaxing place to hold your reception for friends and family.
It has been used as the location for Jessica Charleston’s Wedding Collection photo shoot and was featured in May 2013 Bridal Magazine.
The Barn and the Bake House are situated together around an ancient courtyard and fountain. The Barn sleeps up to twelve people in five individually designed bedrooms. The Bake House is perfect as a self-contained unit for a family of 5 or those who want to escape the hubbub.
For extended groups or those attending the Reception there is the Leigh Park Hotel next door as well as the Castle Inn and other local B & B’s to accommodate all your guests.
Quick Contact
“Hiring Leigh Barn and Bakehouse was the best decision we made for the venue for our wedding. Despite only seeing it in the grey miserable winter, the whole place looked absolutely stunning for our wedding in May.
The accommodations were perfectly suited for some of our family to stay with us on site and Sue and Teddy went out of their way to help, taking deliveries and being around for suppliers and site visits when needed. Because you hire the venue for the whole weekend, we were able to extend our celebrations with a family bbq on the Sunday as well and we could not have had a more perfect wedding.
Thank you so much for helping make our vision a reality.”

3 stunning facilities for your wedding guests.
When we bought Leigh House, Bradford on Avon in 2010 it was run primarily as Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
As you would expect from a self-catering property, the kitchen is large and very well appointed with all necessary tools including a food processor, blenders and a juicing machine.
We have furnished both properties with antiques, original oil paintings and objects of interest to catch the eye. We hope this is self-catering – but with a difference.

The Bake House
Sleeps 4
This quaint stone cottage has 14th Century origins and has thick stone walls and flagged floors. The stone floor still has the axe marks where wood was chopped to feed the fires.

The Barn
Sleeps 10
The Tithe Barn has recently been converted to a very high standard and offers luxurious accommodation in 5 large, en-suite rooms. It is accessed from a lavender scented courtyard straight into a beautifully vaulted main living area with under floor heating and a mezzanine levels.

Gym & Sauna
For guests
The 1000 sqft Old Dairy with 6 milking stalls has been converted into a state of the art gym and sauna overlooking the paddock. You are welcome to use these facilities at any time during your visit. Tone up while you relax on holiday.
Arrangements
The Kitchen & Self Catering Facilities.
“Boutique self catering” comes from the idea that we have tried to make the property somewhere luxurious that we would like to stay in ourselves. It has all the “home from home” touches you would expect; slippers by the fire, comfortable seating, a good music system and sumptuous beds.
Unlike other venues Leigh House offers you an entirely free hand to plan and manage your unique day. There are no fixed rules on the type of marquee or caterers you choose and entertainment is entirely your choice, as is the decoration of the field. We add no additional service fees to anything you select and we do not charge corkage. It is your wedding.
As the owners live on site they are able to be on hand to help with deliveries in the run up to the big day and when it is finished, as well as additional security. There is even on site babysitting.
If you are local to the area you will already have a good idea of the people you would use to help with the wedding reception. However if you are coming from further afield we can recommend people and services used by other brides that we would trust. These might include Hair and Make Up stylists, local wine merchants, photographers, marquee hire etc.
If you like what you see, the first step is to come and meet the owners, Teddy and Sue, to discuss your plans and just walk around to get the feel of Leigh House.
The Wedding Grounds
Leigh House is set in 4.5 acres of rural land.
There are two lawned areas of just over an acre each choose from to site the marquee with views across to the White Horse at Westbury. Both fields are surrounded by woodland and are totally secluded. There is plenty of space for parking.
Nearer the house is an orchard and a large pond with mature willow trees. There is also a beautiful walled Victorian garden with lavender pathways and a rose arbour. The photographic choices are endless.
